Update: Body found in Bayou Lafourche in Thibodaux

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced detectives have identified a man whose body was found in Bayou Lafourche on Monday. The man was identified as Kelvin Johnson, 30, of Napoleonville. Johnson’s body was recovered from Bayou Lafourche near Tiger Drive in Thibodaux on Monday, July 29.
An autopsy was conducted Tuesday morning and the results are pending. Based on the preliminary findings and evidence, foul play is not suspected in Johnson’s death. The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a man's body has been discovered in Bayou Lafourche in Thibodaux. Detectives are on scene, and an investigation is underway.
The Thibodaux Police Department is assisting at the scene. The bridge crossing Bayou Lafourche at Tiger Drive is closed at this time due to the investigation.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office will provide more information on this case as the investigation continues.
